Jayne Simpson lives locally and works for the NHS Community Nursing Team in Newton Aycliffe and Shildon. She would like to take her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to the Asi-Daahey International School and Orphanage in the Dangme East District of Ghana which cares for abandoned children living in the streets. At Asi-Daahey the children receive food and shelter and have an opportunity to gain an education, paving the way for their future.

Jayne is holding a Charity Evening on October 6th at the Belvedere Club in Bishop Auckland. Local bands ‘Costa Del Soul’ and ‘Settin Stone’ will be playing, and there will be a raffle and a pie and peas supper (donated by a local butcher) and a disco. Tickets will be £8.00 each.

She is asking local people and businesses to assist in any way possible, a raffle prize, voucher or monies to raise as much as possible for this cause and to make a difference to the lives of these children.
