Dear Sir,
Yet again we are reading ‘fresh’ letters of complaint regarding Emerald Biogas (Warrens-Group). So, we are providing readers a refresher on what we ‘Newtonians’ MUST do if we want to get this issue sorted.
When we notice that our air is being polluted with this foul odour, we need to report it to the Environmental Agency ASAP on 0800 807060 (free call 24 hours a day). They can only act when they have had a substantial number of reports. If we don’t report a complaint then how will this ever be resolved?
If it is reported they will then liaise with Emerald Biogas (Warrens-Group) and investigate to identify if they were the cause of the pollution to try and resolve the issue.
Please report: date, time and level of the odour. It is also a good idea to report the odour pollution incidents to: paul.iveson@warrens-group.com as Paul is dealing with these incidents. Additionally it is important to inform our MP, Paul Howell, at: paul.howell.mp@parliament.uk as he is also recording these pollution issues with the Environmental Agency and needs to be fully aware of how badly this affects people in his constituency.
Writing to the Newton News is the first step and it’s great that people ‘voice’ their concerns, but we must to do more than that. We need to follow that up with reporting the issue to those that have the ‘clout’ to do something about it.
