SWD REME held their annual pilgrimage to Eden Camp on Sunday 8th September. It was really a great day out, meeting other professional soldiers from a multitude of corps, both regular and TA. This year was really good as we had magnificent weather, unlike some previous years.
Eden Camp is a modern history theme museum at Malton, North Yorkshire, it holds an all forces Remembrance day service and parade in September each year with over 60 Standards on parade this year. The camp has 29 wartime huts, housed in the original Prisoner of War camp, each one contains a different theme, all-relating to various aspects of the WW2. Once again it was a great day out with a reasonably priced restaurant and bar on site.
