Residents Need to Show Approval

A drop in event held last Thursday at Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre, to inform residents about progress on the Great Aycliffe Neighbourhood Plan and to launch the next stage of the consultation process, was very successful.
A steady stream of people visited throughout the evening with many spending time talking to the people involved and asking a range of questions. Valuable feedback was received on a number of items including the results of the Heritage and Character Assessment which is being collated.
The ‘Your Issues, Our Proposals’ consultation was launched at this event, which is the next key stage in the Neighbourhood Plan process. After lengthy investigations on your comments from the original town-wide questionnaire, a number of options and proposals have been developed for your consideration.
The full document has been included in this week’s edition of the Newton News and we value your comments. There are a number of drop off locations throughout the Town where you can leave your completed forms.  In addition you can find an electronic version of the survey via the following link.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GreatAycliffeNP  or by visiting the Town Council’s website www.great-aycliffe.gov.uk
