Greenfield Arts are delighted to welcome back artist Bill Hindmarsh to the Greenfield Gallery. People and Places is an exhibition of previously unseen and current work which includes a unique collection of mining artwork on slates.

Bill is a renowned artist who lives and works in the north east of England. His work is described as an ‘eclectic mix of subject and media’ with a strand of work that draws upon his time working in the coalfields.

The exhibition runs from Monday 9 November to Wednesday 16 December 2020 and not to be missed.

To compliment the exhibition Greenfield Arts are offering an opportunity to take part in sketching workshops. The sessions, which include a supported visit to the gallery, will be led by artist Graham Stead who will help you explore the art of capturing people and the benefits of sketching. The sessions will be held on Wednesday 25 November and 2 December from 17:45 – 19:15 costing £12 for both sessions. Please visit our website to book your place.

At present the gallery is open from 10:00 to 19:30, Monday to Wednesday and 10:00 – 16:00, Thursday to Friday. It may be advisable to avoid the busy school exit time between 15:15 and 15:40 as Greenfield Arts share the site with Greenfield Community College.
