24 year old, Aycliffe resident, Lehi Reid released his debut single, ‘I Think I’m Gonna Go Crazy’, in June this year, and it has really made a mark in the music scene. It has been played on over 30 radio stations around the world including the UK, Spain, Australia, Canada and America.
It has been No.1 in two INDIE Charts and is still at No.1 on the KB RADIO TOP 40 in Canada with the show attracting 67,000 listeners.
The song was featured by BBC Introducing North East twice with presenter Shakk describing the song as a ‘Big tune, infectious and one that will get stuck in your head’.
It was selected by Amazing Radio to be part of its Audition Show and they stated, ‘This debut single from the indie-pop solo artist, Lehi, features pulsating basses, 80’s inspired synths drowned in chorus, and layered vocals’.
The UPCOMING BANDS website @bandshub, reviewed LEHI’s debut single describing it as ‘80’s modern indie pop at its finest’.
Last week the OFI MONDAY RADIO show made Lehi, their UNSIGNED ARTIST OF THE WEEK and included an interview which you can catch up with online. He follows in the footsteps of The Sherlocks and The Great Leslie, high praise indeed.
If you haven’t heard his song yet, I encourage you to listen and follow him, he is on all music platforms and is on Facebook and Twitter as @thisislehi.
He is currently writing and recording more music which will be released, hopefully in October, then an EP planned for the new year.
Please have a listen and support this Newton Aycliffe artist, I’m sure it won’t make you crazy.
