On Wednesday 29th March at Aycliffe Village Primary and Nursery we invited Mayor Councillor Ken Robson to officially ‘open’ our Nursery class. Whilst we opened our doors in September to children aged 3-4 for 15 & 30 hour placements, Mayor Ken officially untied the ribbon around our newly planted Maple tree to signify the official opening.
Each class in school is named after a tree in the school grounds. When we opened our Nursery we thought this was a perfect opportunity to plant a tree and, of course, the tree had to be a Maple as that is the name of our Nursery class. The children, their parents and staff all enjoyed refreshments after the event. We are looking forward to watching our Maple tree grow as our children move through the school.
We still have places in Nursery if you are looking for a 15 or 30 hour place. Please call us for further information 01325 300227.
