Hi everyone, the various teams working out of Newton Aycliffe have been busy responding to a wide variety of incidents such as Anti-Social Behaviour, harassments, domestic issues and missing persons.
Firstly, we have been receiving numerous reports of groups of youths wandering around the street in the early hours of the morning causing issues for residents, around 2/3am. Please can I urge parents/guardians to be aware of where their child is when they are out and about, so that we can prevent any issues.
On 12th August two male youths were arrested for multiple breaches of their respective Criminal Behaviour Orders. CCTV enquiries and statements meant that both youths were able to be charged and remanded to court for these offences.
On 16th August I completed a Herbert Protocol for a vulnerable resident who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Doing this helps safeguard the resident and can assist us in finding them faster should they go missing. If you know someone who may benefit from this, please message the Newton Aycliffe Police Facebook page, or email myself at steven.kipling@durham.police.uk Also on 16th August the Neighbourhood team assisted colleagues with house to house enquiries over in the Shildon area in relation to an altercation.
