Under 17s were away to top of the league side Sunderland Millfield and with both teams holding a 100% record something had to give. In a superb game it was the U17s who triumphed in a fine 2-7 away win. A great win with the most pleasing aspect – hard work and effort that every player put in for each other to beat a good unbeaten physical team. Under 16 Falcons entertained Hardwick Youth and lost in a very disppointing performance. Cameron Copeland netted after 5 minutes and they should have been 2 or 3 nil up conceded an equaliser through a good finish. The visitors made 1-3 before a Cameron Copeland free kick reduced the arrears. The Falcons were then second to everything and allowed Hardwick to grab another three goals to win the game. Final score 2-6.
Under 14 Girls triumphed in a pulsating derby with Bishop Auckland Girls’. A Chloe Ryan double soon made it 2-0 only for the Baggies to storm into a 2-3 half time lead. Harsh words ensured that another brace from Chloe (almost identical) secured the points. Hard work, great for the neutral!
Under 13 Falcons bagged another 3 points after a gutsy away performance. Cameron Cook opened the scoring in the first half with Cole Harrison, Spencer O’Sullivan and Freddie Cockburn adding goals in the second half. A hard working squad performance from all 15 lads with Cole Harrison deservedly picking up the MOM award for his hard work and effort. Final score: Norton & Stockton 2-4 U13 Falcons.
Under 12 Eagles hosted unbeaten Stockton West End. The Eagles were asked for 110% effort and they gave it! They were winning battles all over the pitch. Stockton didn’t know what hit them. First half ended 0-0. Second half saw the Eagles take the lead through Adam Lowe. Stockton managed to get a goal back but the boys battled on and got their reward as Rhys Wilkinson finished in the corner. The Eagles hit the crossbar and post from free-kicks but held on for the well deserved win. MOTM was Evan Thompson. Final score: 2-1.
Under 11 Eagles played host to Boro Rangers and soon found themselves 0-2 down and deservedly so. James Sear then netted after a lot of pressure. Half-time 1-2. The boys then gifted Boro a third, this was closely followed by a fourth. Boro Rangers deserved there 1-4 win. Brennan Fitzpatrick was MOTM.
Under 11 Falcons were up against HFC Hoops and came away with a brilliant 3-2 win with only 9 players. Some brilliant defending all round allowed Dec, Jake and Leon to net for the Falcons. 4 wins in 6 games now as the boys dug deep. Man of the match went to Hayden.
Under 11 Girls started with a fine 3-0 win against Leam rangers. An excellent goal from Hattie and two goals from Kate and the points were secured.
Next up Spraire Lasses and a first goal of the season from Macy was followed by Ocean Tia, Olivia, Hattie (3) Kate and Alex with 2 each. Games aren’t won without clean sheets and that was down to Faith, Emily, Neve & Grace FT 10-0.
The battling Under 10s were away to Ferryhill and prepared for a tough game. A very controversial goal saw the home team take the lead in the second half. This affected the boys as heads went down and two more Ferryhill goals followed. Oliver then rifled in a great goal, quickly followed by a good cross to Isaac in the box but his effort was saved in the last minute. Final score a 3-1 defeat. The boys gave everything and were gutted! MOTM went to Jamie. Second game finished with a 5-0 loss despite heroic efforts from striker/goalkeeper Matty who was magnificent. MOTM: Brooklyn
Under 10 Girls were up against Plains Farm and despite a solid start a cross found their striker unmarked for 1-0. The goals continued to flow but the girls continued to play football. Full time 0-9. Finally a more competitive game v Lumley, Alysha was determined to keep a clean sheet, as half time beckoned Brooke broke free and gave the keeper no chance HT 1-0. Into the second half and chances continued to be created but Heidi, Ebony and Keira just couldn’t find the target  still Lumley looked dangerous but Niamh, Phoebe, and Eden coped very well with each effort, the final word was left to Brooke as once again she floated passed the defenders and found the corner FT 2-0.
Under 9 Falcons hosted Billingham Utd Wasps. Trailing 1-0 at half time Cole Gaskarth notched a second half hat-trick. Final score 3-1.
MOTM was shared between Cole Gaskarth and Dylan Stewart with a fantastic display. Second game ended 5-3 to Billingham. Goals from Aidan Lee Peacock and 2 from Ryan Usher. Louis Parnaby was MOTM.
