School Aycliffe’s Scarlet Dunn finished 9th in her Bambino kart in the Championship final at Rowrah, Cumbria this weekend.

She competed despite feeling poorly all over the weekend with a virus, but soldiered on even through sometimes cold and challenging conditions.

“She is really pushing herself to the limit and trying very hard” said her Dad, Anthony. “She did amazing considering she was feeling unwell and also has engine problems. Mam, Grandad [who form AMARON Racing] and all of her family are very proud of her”.

The final result leaves her 8th out of 23 drivers in the 2018 Cumbria Kart Championship Comer Bambino Class, even though she missed one round.

This will be Scarlet’s last competition of the year. Her team, Amaron Racing, plan for some winter testing for Scarlet and her brother Harrison, together with some equipment updates / improvements to keep progressing ready for the 2019 season.
