The results from the South Park 20 mile race that took place on 2nd April have just been released with three members representing the club. This included Kevin Tatham (2:56:46) and David Stothard (3:40:14). Unfortunately, Kirsty Cameron had to withdraw part way through the race. This was not before completing a number of laps of the course in 1:41:57, an excellent effort.

On the same day, three members took part in the iconic Manchester Marathon. This included Richard Trowles (3:30:38), Daniel Tatham (4:21:18) and Carley Gibson (4:29:48). A special mention for Carley Gibson who achieved a new personal best for the distance, knocking over 40 minutes of her previous best, an amazing effort. Also a special mention for Daniel Tatham, who was on track for a new personal best before being impacted by injury after 15 miles. Daniel showed bravery and determination to keep going, even when getting blisters and managed to keep going for another 11 miles. Sometimes, running is not about times and it is about showing resilience and determination and being an inspiration to us all, like Daniel, and we are confident he will set a new personal best next time.
