I was out shopping on Sunday and there were Labour canvassers outside the TSB bank, one of them stepped in front of me to give me a leaflet.
I politely said ‘no thank you’ and carried on walking.
He then shouted after me “are you Conservative? You are blooming stupid if you are”.
I replied that “whatever I was, was my choice, you cheeky devil.”
I should never have been put in that position. To me, I was verbally abused. I don’t want to be minding my own business and then get told that I am stupid.
Let them canvass, but don’t abuse people on how they want to vote, he didn’t know who I was voting for.
