Julie and Eddy Adam have been together for 34 years and finally tied the knot on Saturday 1st September, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Church, Aycliffe Village.

Eddy proposed to Julie at his 60th birthday party in front of 100 guests at the Big Club. They have been together for 34 years, bringing together two families, 5 children and now have 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild with another on the way.

Politics and the Labour Party brought them together and is still a strong influence in both their lives. Eddy and Julie have lived in Newton Aycliffe for over 38 years. Eddy is proud to be a member of Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club, a Town and County Councillor and is a Lecturer at Darlington College.

The bridal party consisted of Best Man Shaun Firth and Sister of the Bride Anne Firth (representing their Dad); Maid of Honour was Mary Dixon; Bridesmaid Sarah, Rhiannon, Gail, Amanda, Lily, Molly and Rosie and the Ushers were Christopher Adam and Connor Hughes.

The couple held their reception at the Woodham Golf Club before honeymooning in Paphos, Cyprus
