Dear Editor, Your remarks regarding the lack of news in the County Magazine about and from Newton Aycliffe is very true and has been for years. I am minded to ask if the seven County Councillors, GAMP and the Town Council can help in this matter? I notice one of our Councillors, John Clare, defending the Editor of the magazine and blames us! He should be supporting the people who voted for him requesting DCC make some effort to ensure our town is properly represented in a Council publication. Great Aycliffe must be DCC’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’ and deserves much better recognition from our County Council. It seems if people from the north come from south of they get a nose bleed. Come on DCC let light and justice prevail for “Great” Aycliffe. Name & address supplied.
