The Community Games programme provides communities in County Durham with the opportunity to come together for a day of sport and culture on their own doorstep.

The national programme which is in its second year, offers communities funding and support to organise an event inspired by the Olympics and Paralympics, celebrating the uniqueness of each community. The event can take place in a local park, a village green or a local community centre.
