Woodham Golf Club are running some Free of charge Ladies Get into Golf in early July to try to encourage more ladies into the game.
We were really pleased with interest from the first set of taster sessions featured in Newton News and had 17 ladies turn up with 10 of the 17 afterwards taking 5 weekly golf lessons with the Professional Ernie for just £25.
This Saturday is the last of those lessons and Ernie and two of our lady members are ready to take the ladies out on the course for the first time,
Some have already bought golf clubs and shoes in readiness and we very much hope that they take advantage of the reduced membership fee that the owners Halls have set up for us.
