“Fishing with Tom”, an Aycliife charity were asked to apply  for an award from Scoot. They submitted their story explaining how they help children across the North East enjoy fishing for free.  (They only use volunteers with enhanced DBS checks).Tom has received the good news his charity has won £12000, a trophy and a certificate.
The award provides funds to enable them to continue their good work and secure many places for young people of Newton Aycliffe and across the North East.

The facility is open all year but you need to book! We provide fishing for Disabled anglers / people with learning difficulies / schools / Clubs / team building / fun days  as well as units dealing with health problems.
Sited in the village of Bishopton just 10 mins from Newton Aycliffe we have four well stocked lakes full of Rainbow & Brown Trout. The area is covered by CCTV which is in plain view and covering the classroom and kitchen.
There are male and female and disabled toilets, a small classroom and rest area.  Anyone is welcome to come along for a chat and a coffee. All the volunteers are friendly and willing to help you where they can.
