The Town Council had a fantastic response to the Poster Competition this year with over 150 entries received and the Mayor Cllr Jed Hillary and his consort Cllr Wendy Hillary, had a difficult task of judging the posters on Bonfire Night. The presentation took place on Thursday 17th November at Oak Leaf Sports Complex where the winners were awarded their prize and certificate, by the Deputy Mayor Cllr Michael Dalton and Cllr Mary Dalton. Thank you to everyone who entered from ‘home’, Stephenson Way Primary School, Woodham Burn Out of School Club, Walworth School, Little Cubs Day Nursery, House of Eden Nursery/Out of School Club and St Oswald’s Pre-Schools. Well done to all of you – don’t forget to try next year! A Highly Commended Certificate was awarded to the entry from the House of Eden Day Nursery at Aycliffe Village, which was a group effort completed by the children aged 2 to 3 years
