Dehenna Davison, Conservative Candidate for Sedgefield, welcomed the Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, to Sedgefield to visit Filtronic, a high tech company specialising in wireless and broadband component design and manufacture, based at the NETpark. The company was recently awarded a £13 million contract with a defence equipment manufacturer. Dehenna Davison said “Filtronic are an extraordinary local company, helping to revolutionise communications and that’s clearly demonstrated in their incredible growth.

In line with the Prime Minister’s ambition to make the UK the best place in the world to do business online, it is important we continue to support companies like Filtronic to enable us to keep up to date with the latest demands on data usage and transfer. I was delighted to welcome the Secretary of State for Defence, Sir Michael Fallon here, the third Secretary of State to visit a local business and the fourth to visit the constituency since this campaign began. Labour bring a former soap actor, I bring Secretaries of State who can make things happen.”
