The next meeting of the Town Council’s Environment Committee is on Wednesday 1st July at 7.15pm.
The Committee will consider a report on the A167 Lighting issue, and  a new issue just arisen regarding lighting along the end of Burnhill Way and Woodham roundabout towards Rushyford where eleven street lights are proposed to be removed and which is being put out for public comment by Durham County Council.
Both issues will be on the agenda for the meeting on Wednesday 1st July and the public can attend and comment indeed Cllr Arun Chandran, Chairman of the Environment Committee would welcome and encourage public attendance.
It is known that Cllr Bob Fleming Leader of the Town Council who negotiated on the A167 lighting issue is less than amused at this extra lighting removal issue suddenly cropping up. As usual Agendas Minutes and reports will be available on the Council’s website from Friday this week.
