CrossFit All Out has gone from strength to strength since opening last January and in addition to their adults and teens classes, are now planning to run CrossFit Kids sessions over the Summer holidays, for children aged 3-16.
Head Coach Terry Anderson, who has recently qualified as a CrossFit Kids Coach, said “the course was such an eye-opener for me as a Coach and I learned so much from it.  There are so many benefits for kids of all ages and abilities, I’m excited to get started, see the kids learn, progress and have fun – who knows where it could take them.”
The sessions help to build:
– Health & fitness
– Social & team building skills
– Confidence & self-awareness
– Discipline & structure
– Listening & communication skills
– A foundation for any other competitive
sports in the future.
The sessions are held for separate age groups: 3-5 YEARS / 6-9 YEARS / 10-12 YEARS / 13-16 YEARS
Vikki Anderson, Business Manager says “the kids sessions have been long-awaited by a lot of people so we are excited to finally start planning them. We just need some help to fund the kit and we are relying on local businesses and the local community to support us with this. We have a goal of £2000 minimum and have already reached £700, so every donation helps!”
A free fundraising event will be held on Sunday 28th June 11am – 3pm at CrossFit All Out, Northfield Way, Aycliffe Business Park, DL5 6EJ to raise funds for the kid specific equipment. The event will include demonstrations of the kids sessions, competitions, egg & spoon races, hook a duck, bouncy castle, face painting, car washes, ‘nearly new’ sale, raffle, BBQ, cakes, homemade lemonade and lots more!
Terry and Vikki are asking for any raffle prizes from local businesses and are encouraging all members of the public to bring along their children, in fancy dress if they wish, have photos taken with the superhero wall and have a fun family day out for a great cause!
