On Saturday 19th January local CrossFit gym “CrossFit All Out” celebrated 5 years since opening.
Husband and wife Terry and Vikki Anderson took a leap of faith back in 2014 when they finally opened the doors to their gym on Aycliffe Business Park, after a 2 year struggle to gain planning permission for change of use of their premises.
Terry, who is also Head Coach at the facility said, “Looking back we can’t quite believe we managed to do it, with 2 young children and Vikki still working alongside running the business.  I worked over 70 hours per week for the first couple of years and I’m really not sure how we managed to deal with it all to be honest, but we did and with a lot of fantastic support we’ve now reached 5 years as a successful business with a great team.”
Vikki added, “Nothing can prepare you for the rollercoaster of having your own business.  There is always pro’s and con’s of course, but we have so much support and to have over 30 people still with us since 2014, with new members being made to feel just as welcome, we really couldn’t ask for more.  Members have proven that CrossFit is for everyone as we have people from all walks of life, some who never exercised at all before joining and some who now have the bug for competing across the country.  It has literally changed so many people’s lives for the better.  Members of our weekly CrossFit kids, family and over 50’s classes are the icing on the cake.  We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during the last 5 years and we hope to continue to grow this unique ‘sport of fitness’ within our hometown, for everyone to enjoy. We’ve recently added extra gymnastics, strongman, ‘engine’ and track sessions for members and are always looking for ways to improve and develop our services.”
