Volunteers from Kays Hill Animal Sanctuary,  (just outside West Auckland), are holding a fundraising event in the Middridge Village Hall on Saturday 25th February, between 10am and noon. Volunteers have a number of stalls selling tea, coffee, home-made produce, new, and Christmas goods. There will also be a bottle and tombola stall. Kays Hill is a not-for-profit organization which provides shelter to a wide range of animals from domestic cats, rodents, birds, sheep and pigs, to the slightly more exotic, alpacas, coatimundi, civets and racoons. They never turn any animal away with many arriving as previous owners are unable to offer the care and attention the animal requires. Others are brought in after neglect or abandonment. For anyone coming along  and wishing to donate  food  for the animals, there will be a food bin available on the day. Entry fee is just 50p with all proceeds going towards the upkeep  of the animals and includes free entry into the prize raffle.
