Local singer Aimee Howarth is hosting a charity night on Friday 6th October at the Phoenix Club. Aimee is raising funds to support local junior football team, Newton Aycliffe Under 13s Eagles, to purchase their own portable defibrillator unit so they are able to take the unit with them to all their fixtures.
Aimee hosted an evening last year in memory of her Grandad Fred which was a huge success and raised a lot of money for Dementia UK.
As well as Aimee performing there will be lots of fun games, including Bingo and a Raffle with lots of prizes kindly donated from local businesses and support from the football teams parents.
We have managed to get support from local charity Missed A Beat to help source the unit and Missed A Beat is going to sponsor the team with new training kits with the Missed A Beat logo to help raise awareness of the importance of a defibrillator unit.
