Staff and Governors of Greenfield pay tribute to Mr Peter Bergg who following 30 years of service to Greenfield Community College has stepped down as Chair of Governors.

Mr Priestley, Headteacher said “Peter will be a big loss to the school, he has been an active governor visiting the school more than once a week and taking an active role in leading the school forward.” Greenfield is a popular, happy and successful school with year on year improvements in results.

This year showing strong figures 5A + C / English and Maths at 55% a 5% increase on 2011 and very strong results for EBacc 27% and 32% of students achieving 3 or more A*-A at GCSE.

During Peter’s time as chair of Governors the school facilities have been significantly developed for delivering an exciting and relevant curriculum.

Mr Bergg leaves Greenfield in a very strong position, he is replaced by Mrs L. Wilson as new chair. He is wished every happiness in his ‘retirement’.

Mr Bergg said “I wish everyone at Greenfield every success in the future’.
