For Newtonian Adam Nicholas 2013 was a good year.  He completed his GCSE’s at Woodham Academy in the summer and achieved a whopping 13 A* grades and 1 A grade, in a range of subjects including Music, French, German and Latin.
As languages are a passion, Adam also studies and speaks a number of other tongues: Swedish, Danish,  Norwegian and he is currently working on Dutch, and dabbling with Icelandic (which is a little more challenging).
Adam is now in his first year at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, taking A Levels in French, German, Mathematics, Geography, Critical Thinking and General Studies.
For those who remember him from concerts at Woodham Academy, Adam continues to play piano and has active roles in bands at college and playing for weddings and private parties, when time allows.
He was very pleased to be asked to perform for the “Mayor at Home” event and enjoyed meeting the Mayor’s guests and had a wonderful Prom night at Redworth Hall playing in the band with his happy group of fellow musicians, joined by Mr. Jenkins for a classic number or two!
Now in consideration are the options for University and Adam is open to all possibilities, such as studying in Germany, France, Cambridge or other colleges who offer good facilities for studying Modern Languages.
