Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club have paid their own tribute to the NHS staff and key workers who have worked tirelessly to safeguard the public throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

With the Sports Club opening on 4th July, the Cricket Club have had signage mounted on the score-box expressing their gratitude.

Club Chairman, Ian Palmer, said “we had an opportunity arise when the previous score-box sponsor decided not to renew and I can think of nothing better to fill the space left. It cannot be underestimated the work that all key workers have carried out over the course of the pandemic, including some who have connections to our Club, and we felt that it was only right to recognise this”.

Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club would like to thank Vanila Design and Print Services, one of the Club’s sponsors, who not only designed the sign but have paid all of the production and installation costs.
