Traders are being invited to take part in one of the North East’s most popular food festivals.
Bishop Auckland Food Festival will return to the town’s Market Place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April for a weekend full of fun and food.
Twenty-eight thousand people attended the Durham County Council-run festival this year, enjoying a jam-packed weekend full of food, fun, and entertainment.
Each year the festival attracts over 120 independent traders, with many from the region selling a variety of tantalising bakes and cakes. It also features breweries and distilleries with local drinks, cheeses and chutneys, plus some of the best street food with flavours from around the world.
Applications are now open for 2024 and vendors are being encouraged to express their interest early to ensure they do not miss out.
Traders are asked to include as much information as possible about their business in their application, including latest news and awards, images of their set up and links to social media.
Businesses have until 12 January to submit their application, with those successful notified shortly afterwards.
As well as a host of traders offering delicious street food, Bishop Auckland Food Festival also features a series of cookery demonstrations from a star-studded line-up of celebrity chefs, as well as a packed programme of live entertainment and fun family activities.
Further details of the festival, including celebrity guest announcements, will be released in the new year.
Traders who wish to be part of the festival can apply online at www.bishopaucklandfoodfestival.co.uk
