Aycliffe U13 Eagles 5 v NAFC Juniors 0
A local derby, which meant the boys play was a little nervy and not their best overall performance, but they still played some fantastic football in spells. From front to back they worked really hard and gave 100%, working well as a team. Some brilliant team goals scored and another clean sheet from our defensive unit. Goals from Rossi x 2, Cameron x 2 and Harley. MOM: Evan.
Aycliffe U15 Eagles 4 v Cleveland Hall 2
Tough fixture against a strong side, however, the lads did themselves proud and won their battles all over the pitch. We have been working on passing, supporting the player on the ball and switching the play in training lately, which showed today with some outstanding team goals scored. Goals from Adam, Hamza, Olly, Kaiden. MOM: Zac.
Aycliffe U14 Girls 3 v Washington Wildcats 0
A controlled and composed performance in the Durham FA county cup saw us win by three to see us through to the next round. First half goal from Dowson. Second half goal by Miller and a last minute own goal gave us victory. POTM: Dowson.
Aycliffe U11 Eagles v Foundation of Light
The lads started slow but took the lead through Oliver, off the ball we struggled as they were running through our midfield. We owe the win to Finley and Jacob at the back, cleaning up everything and some great saves from Ethan. Second half we were much better, eventually extending our lead through Regan, before Oliver and Noah made it 4-0. FoL got a consolation goal late on.
Aycliffe U8 Wildcats v Sunderland City Girls
These young girls are improving every week, in their first season of league football. In a very competitive game, it was Aycliffe who came out on top with goals from Sophie 2, Emilia 2, Matilda, but the rest of the squad, Willow, Leah, Lily Ella all contributed to a great win.
Pools Youth 2 v Aycliffe U13 Girls 1
We got off to a slow start and were two goals down by half time. A goal in the second half lifted the team and we set about trying to come away from the fixture with something to show for our efforts. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we didn’t get the goal needed to come away with any points.
Aycliffe U14 Angels 9 v Darlington FC 4
A good win in the first round of the county cup for the Angels. After going 1-0 down they went 3-1 up only to find Darlington bounced back to 3-3. The Angels then took hold of the game to win well. Goals from Romilly (4), Eveie (2), Evie, Faith & Amy. Star players were Heidi and Eveie.
Aycliffe U10 Eagles v Billingham Juniors
George opened the scoring with a superb volley from the edge of the box. Harry was awesome in goal and George completed his hat trick and Floyd and Will got a goal each.
Aycliffe U7 Eagles v 21st All Stars
After a difficult start to the game, and an early goal for the All Stars, the Eagles fought back to win the game with goals from Oliver S, 2 for Elijah and 4 for Luke. Some good saves from Oliver W and a fine defensive display from Henrie kept the opposition at bay.
Aycliffe U17 Girls 0 v CLS United 3
This was anticipated to be an equal game, however, a couple of lapses of concentration allowed the opposition to go ahead and a formidable defence prevented a number of attacks. Despite this, Mia Glasper kept firing at the goal but today was one of those days where the ball would happily deflect just to the wrong side of the post.
Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Riverside Reds
The boys started out well and were unlucky to be 2 nil down, however, they managed to pull one back before half time. The boys were great in the second half and scored 4 to win. All goals from Josh.
Leven FC 3 v Aycliffe U12 Eagles 2
A measured start for Aycliffe, creating a number of chances before Sam scored from close range to give the Eagles a narrow lead before Leven equalised and, as they continued to press, scored again. A good corner forced the error to take it to 2-2. With five minutes to go, Leven score to take the points. MOM: Tyler (goalkeeper).
