U11 Eagles v Billingham – Tarek opened the scoring from close range. Michael on the left wing cut inside to score a fantastic goal. Billingham raised their game to pull one back. Then Sam hit a quick hat trick and, whilst Billingham scored a late goal, Eagles now remain unbeaten in the league this year, defence of Dylen, Jacob, Oliver and Jak, excellent from all four this week.
U11 Wildcats v Bishop Auckland – Aycliffe weren’t at their best but did work a few good chances but found themselves HT 2-0. Second half was much the same as Bishop scored another 2. Bad day at the office but things to work on.
Marske Utd 4 v U12 Eagles 1 – Away, playing against a side unbeaten so far in the league on a foggy day. The game was evenly matched but Marske took their chances. Lots of really positive play from Aycliffe. Goal by Jack T.
U14 Eagles 2 v Whitburn Panthers 2 – Whitburn went a goal up but the boys worked really hard to find the equaliser through Oliver. But the visitors regained the lead, down but a word from Harvey in the final minutes ensured the points were shared. MOM Harvey.
Aycliffe U13 0 v Girls Hartlepool Youth 5 – The girls conceded twice in the first half, creating a few half chances of their own. A mad 10 minutes in the second half saw us concede three more. Highlight for us was a penalty save by A’alayah. POTM: Ebony.
U13 Boys 4 v Riverside Juniors 1 – The boys made a fast start as James scored a free-kick & a penalty. Towards the end of the half we started to lose our shape & conceded 2 penalties, with Sam saving the first. Oliver scored on the break and his devilish corner was turned in by their keeper and the points were secured
Norton & Stockton 2 v U13 Angels 7 – The girls were up for it from the start and created loads of chances. 3-0 up at half time. Norton came back into it as the score became 3-2, but we pulled away in style. Goals from Romilly (3), Faith, Charli, Hannah & Sophie. Star Players: Charli & Erin.
Pools Youth 1 v U14 Girls 0 – Playing against the top of the league was a challenge but the girls battled on until the final whistle. The game could have gone either way but unfortunately it just wasn’t our day. POTM: Lana.
Washington Utd 0 v U12 Girls 0 – A very challenging 60 minutes of football. On 52 minutes Peyton scored the only goal of the game following goalkeeper Maddi’s drop volley. The girls did incredibly well to come away from this tough fixture with all three points.
South Moor 0 v U14 Girls 4 (Sunday) – Two goals in the first half from Evie and Tilly. Then two second half goals came quite late; an OG and a close-range finish from Faith. Star players: Evie E (players) and Evie P (coaches).
U8 Eagles v Richmond – The boys played really well putting into practice lots of the good things we have done in training with good passing and good movement off the ball. Some good direct play at times putting the opposition under pressure and all working hard
Prissick Rovers v U9 Eagles – The whole team played some great football as Sam G made it 1-0, Harry M made a great save when the scores were level and in the end a draw was a fair result.
Darlington Young Bulls v U7 Eagles – Tough away game, the boys worked hard to get a good result, as the game was drawn.
U10 Eagles v Spennymoor Knights – After going 1-0 down, the boys never wavered, everything we’ve been learning over the last couple of weeks was not only done, but done well. Everyone was on top of their game, scoring six goals.
U10 Girls v Hetton Juniors – Top of the table and unbeaten, Hetton would be a huge test for the girls, but Phoebe opened the scoring before 2 goals put Hetton in the lead. Poppy H chipped the keeper and Phoebe slotted home. Aycliffe then defended for the final 10 minutes for the draw.
