October 4th saw Aycliffe Tri Club member Rob Cherrie compete in IRONMAN Barcelona. Rob who fits his triathlon training around his job as a Fireman and a very busy family life, finished the endurance event in a fantastic 11 hours and 43 minutes.
Rob took the 2.4 mile sea swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run head on and was met with huge cheers and congratulations as he stormed down the finishers chute.
