Over the next month Greenfield Arts and Greenfield Community College will be a hive of activity as we host an International Symposium of Teaching & Learning, based in our “Room 13.”
The symposium has been developed by Greenfield Arts to compliment the SOLE research which has been taking place in Room 13 since it opened in February 2014. The symposium will stimulate discussion and thought around different methods of teaching and learning, focussing on both students’ and teachers/professionals opinions on the subject. We will be experimenting with SOLE sessions in a variety of subjects, including international work and work with younger students, expanding the current research fields.
We have a number of national and international teaching professionals joining us over the next month, including from Australia, Argentina and the Netherlands. All of our visitors and visiting students will join with Greenfield Community College students to explore the question “How do you learn?”
Throughout the month we will be sharing our findings via the School in the Cloud blog (greenfieldarts.wordpress.com) and via twitter using #istl. We are looking forward to seeing the results and findings of this great month of activity!
