It promises to be a really exciting few months ahead with a range of live performances being developed and performed at Greenfield Arts.
We are pleased to be a venue and touring location for two major local theatre festivals in October: Durham Book Festival, with a performance of “The Worst Princess”, and TakeOff Festival, with performances of “Alice” and “Angel” for primary and secondary school students. Students at Greenfield Community College and from local primary schools will have the opportunity to see these fantastic shows, bringing high quality theatre to Aycliffe.
Also in October, we will be hosting a workshop and performance of “Hewins Goals.” The show is being produced by local company Backscratch and will mark the 125th anniversary of the football league. Greenfield College students will have the opportunity to be a part of developing the performance during the day, before a performance on the evening of Tuesday 7th October (6:30pm). The performance will be free, and a great opportunity for residents to see a production by a local company. Free tickets are available from Greenfield Arts; please contact us.
Looking forward to next year we have secured a performance of “The Snow Bear” by the team that brought us “SALT” last year. “SALT” was very well received by the primary school audience and we are sure that “The Snow Bear” will be even better!
