With the help of resident music tutor, John Melvin, pupils from Sugar Hill school recently performed a range of songs to the rest of the school and invited parents. Accompanied by the many talented guitarists in the school, singers from the music group gave superb renditions of hits as diverse as Ben E King’s ‘Stand By Me’ and the contemporary ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane. The set was completed with a rousing guitar performance of the classic Surfaris track, ‘Wipeout’.
Mr Melvin told the audience how very proud he is of all the musicians and singers in the group wishing them success in their musical futures. The staff of Sugar Hill add their congratulations on a magnificent performance. It’s evident that some of the talented pupils will go a long way!
