Michael Nelson, Head of Technology at Woodham Academy will continue to be the North East of England’s Royal Academy of Engineering Teacher Co-ordinator for 2013-14.
This is a highly prestigious role that involves Michael building up a network of schools and delivering training throughout the year.  The latest training involved was using the Royal Academy’s Athlete or Machine STEM resource. The session was really well attended and included valuable contributions about the local skills and engineering jobs market from a manufacturer and a representative from the local authority.
Michael’s contribution to science, technology, engineering and mathematics was recognised nationally at the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering Celebration in London in July.
