Woodham Academy appointed an associate student governor, Letisha Howard, to join its Governing Body. As student governor, Letisha will represent the views of students at all governors’ meetings. Headteacher, Christine Forsyth, says “The most important people in the school are our students. It is right and proper that their views are represented at the highest level in the school.”

Letisha was appointed following a demanding selection process which included writing a letter of application and a formal interview. In her letter, Letisha said that she was keen to show Woodham Academy’s strengths and core values as well as contribute to its future development.

Letisha will attend her first governors’ meeting next week when governors will formally receive Woodham’s excellent Ofsted report from earlier this year and this summer’s impressive examination results.
