Dear Sir,
Now that we have the basics of the long awaited Sue Gray report I would like to make the following comments, given that we have a Conservative MP and two elected Conservative Councillors.
The MP, Paul Howell, did contact me and said to wait for the Sue Gray report before coming to any conclusion, now that is here, where does he now stand?
My Sister taught A Level Politics at 6th Form College in Preston and told me that, based on the calculations she has made it looks like the Tories are going to lose at least 80 seats, Boris Johnson has done the Conservative Party no good.
Recently, while visiting the late Cllr Brian Hall, I was told to jump through hoops just to get into the care home when I made my weekly visits. My family live away and we have not seen our grandchildren for two years, yet here we have a leader who openly tries to worm himself out of it. Our MP has a weekly column in the Newton News and I think the voters have a right to know what he plans to say about this. Is he going to submit a letter to the 1922 committee, especially when you get people like Theresa May who asked does the PM feel that the Covid rules don’t apply to him or others in the Cabinet?
I await the response I think the people of Newton Aycliffe and Sedgefield have a right to know our MP’s views, or send another cop-out, which is to wait for the Met report!
