Dear Sir,
I have read in various media about the police warning drivers on the consequences of speeding. Although I don’t disagree with these warnings, what I do disagree with, is in some cases drivers are only getting a ticking off via letter or verbally at the roadside, speeding is speeding! I have been driving 40 years plus and in that time vehicles have become faster, more powerful including family cars and although brakes and suspension etc., have improved the drivers skill has not!
As regards drivers like myself who drive within the speed limit, there are those who tailgate, trying to bully and intimidate us into speeding. Although tailgating just like Middle Lane Hogging is illegal you don’t hear of anyone being caught. So a message for those who wish to speed, don’t hassle those who don’t! Name & address supplied
