Keep Learning:

Computers for the Terrified

Starting Wednesday 11th September

Overcome your fears on this practical course aimed at adults 19 and above who are total beginners and who have never used a computer before. You will gain a basic knowledge of how to get online and search the internet and increase your confidence of using IT.

CV Workshop

Thursday 19th September

Receive guidance and tips on how to craft a well-written CV fit for job applications and begin the process of sending your CV to potential employers. Use your strong points to attract the perfect jobs for you and apply the guidance in the future to expand your CV.

L2 Food Hygiene

Friday 20th September

Are you in the food industry? If you handle food, prepare and serve directly to a customer you need this qualification. Or if you’re looking to get involved in the food business gain this professional L2 qualification and get a head start! This is free to those unemployed.

L3 Emergency First Aid

Friday 26th September

Learn the necessary skills to become a first aider through a professional course where you will develop skills of how to deal with CPR, choking and more. This course is free if unemployed.

Introductions to Counselling & Listening Skills

Starting Monday 30th September

By undertaking this class you will gain awareness of what counselling is and the basic principles of person centred counselling. Get to know the three main core conditions in counselling skills and an insight into the necessary personal qualities in the career as well as an awareness of safety, boundaries and ethics in skills.

Upbeat Chair Aerobics

Starting Thursday 5th September

Find physical benefits in this low impact class. With constant back and lower body support throughout the class you can find ways to stay active and fit.

Nordic Walking

Starting Thursday 5th September

Enjoy fresh air and meet new people whilst getting fit. Supportive walking poles are provided.

Mixed Crafts

Starting Wednesday 11th September

Learn a range of craft techniques including paper crafts (making cards and gift wrap), glass and ceramic painting, marbling techniques and much more! Create beautiful pieces of art work to take home and develop artistic skills in a relaxing, creative session.

Sewing on a Budget

Starting Thursday 12th September

Learn basic skills such as hemming, hand stitch and appliqué stitch before learning new techniques in embroidery. Create a simple running stitch and pin together a collection of your own work! Take home unique fabric bunting and cushions or your own tote bag.

Couch to 5K Running Group

Starting Thursday 12th September

Build your fitness and get into running with the new and free couch to 5K group. Meet new people and socialise whilst improving your physical fitness, posture and breathing.

Growing Gurus

Starting Tuesday 17th September

Aimed at children aged 5-11 and explores ways to become more relaxed and build a positive mind-set in our busy world. Children will learn techniques to help reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing through activities which include breathing, guided visualisation, yoga poses and lots of fun games!
