Dear Sir,

The photo was taken of the running track near Woodham Academy and Wolsey Close (off the Burn footpath).

I collected the litter whilst walking my dog with my daughter over the weekend and I plan to write to our MP, Paul Howell, to suggest a bar code track and trace for shop payments so we can trace who has left this unsightly mess.

Data protection may prevent but worth a try as, if a company sets up machinery to do this it could provide jobs in the UK and tax revenue from fines for the govt.

Most people pay by card now, rather than cash. If only police kept names of offenders via bank accounts, then still secure data.

I asked Woodham Academy some time ago to set up volunteers to help me litter pick, but they and the council played ping pong over who actually owns the land.
