You’re invited to this year’s Paws Up Party which will be held at Ramside Hall Hotel on Saturday, November 19th.
The event, organised by the force’s Dog Section and retired dog handler, Ian Squire, is set to be another great night with live entertainment, drinks reception and two-course dinner.
Guest appearances will also be made from international saxophonist Lady V Sax as well as great prizes available from the prize draw.
It will raise money for Paws Up, a retired Police Dogs Benevolent Fund, which supports working dogs once they have retired after years of loyal service.
The fund was set up in 2013 and has raised thousands of pounds helping the dogs’ new owners with costly vet bills that can often mount up once a dog is retired and in its older years.
PDs Griff, Harper and retired PD Lottie have been advertising the event and popped up to HQ last week to drum up ticket sales.
Ian said: “The force’s police dogs serve our communities faithfully for the best part of their working lives so we feel it is only right that we provide the best possible life for them on their retirement and make sure they can well and truly put their paws up.
“The Paws Up Party will be an amazing night and is just one of the ways we fundraise throughout the year to help support the dogs in their later years.
“We’d love to see you there!”
The party starts at 7pm until 1am and tickets are just £35.
