Dear Sir,

Walking around the town centre last week I saw the latest regeneration programme underway, I could not help but try and visualise what our town would look like when all this is finished.

I expect to many at the moment it looks more like a bombsite, than a beautiful area full of new seating, trees and a bright open aspect that will transform this shopping centre within the next couple of years.

Some have lost hope, as we have been waiting for a long time for this promise to happen, and in the ongoing process have lost many of our retail units dear to us, the latest one being M&Co.

There is a well known saying, everything comes to him who waits, and boy, have we been waiting! But now we are moving, and moving fast. Let’s hope this new phase will help everyone feel excited by the future of our Town Centre.

Spring will have officially begun by the time you read this, and with it we hope to see changes in our weather, a little sun would be very welcome. It brightens every one’s spirit’s and puts a SPRING  in your step (hopefully).

This world of ours with it’s many problems and worries can be a daunting place for many. Easter brings fresh hope, it is the time when Christians around the world celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. The cross shows us that promise made by God to ALL, that one day we like His son who died on the cross for us, will have eternal life.

It is a promise that He keeps. May you feel something of God’s unconditional love for us all in your hearts this glorious Eastertide, and may God’s peace and love be always with you, and those who you love.
