Can I firstly thank everyone who has helped me recently in my fundraising appeal. Every penny goes to these poor animals that, if left out, would certainly die horrible deaths which they don’t deserve.
Thanks go to finders, Lorraine for bringing in little Maggie, Jenny and Josie, thank you for your donation, Lorraine, also to Dee and her family for bringing in Reggie and Ronnie. Ronnie has been renamed Buster because for a baby hog he has suffered the most life threatening intestinal diseases, he fought and won, tonight he gained weight going to 145 grams, still in the incubator but progress is steady now, he has even smiled tonight (Tuesday). Pictured above.
Finally, a special thanks go to Angela Bartoli, she is a teacher at The Oaks Secondary School in Spennymoor, I know there are young adults who attend this school, Angela was kind enough to bring Annie, who has been very ill but has hopefully started to turn a corner, she has also donated some food for our poorly hedgehogs.
Thanks also to our lovely June and Valerie who are also helping me keep these little ones alive, it’s quite worrying having sick hedgehogs in itself and lack of funds add to the stress too. I am also admitting, where I can, all rescues are full because we can’t release as yet. It’s very damp and with firework night approaching, well the rest you don’t need to think about, so please be kind to our hedgehogs and make sure they don’t make a home to hibernate in your bonfire. It’s all on Facebook.
Take care everyone and thank you.
