Cyber Security company TeraByte IT Limited are celebrating their 5th Anniversary in Darlington, County Durham, after moving to the area 2 years ago as a strategic business decision. TeraByte chose Darlington in no small part for to the great transport links to London and Scotland as well as the East and West Coast. The ongoing development opportunities and nearby Business Parks; with Newton Aycliffe now overtaking Team Valley as the biggest in the UK, meant the area was, and still is, very attractive to the cyber security business.
As part of the plans for growth, TeraByte achieved certification through the Cyber Essentials Scheme with IASME governance. TeraByte then went on to become a certification body with IASME and we have promoted them in return through the Cyber Security sector.
TeraByte can assist businesses with a route to compliance in order to meet the minimum mandatory requirements of GDPR or the General Data Protection Regulation. This new legislation replaces the Data Protection Act on 25th May 2018 and applies to all businesses in an effort to help against the increasing cyber-attacks businesses face. A combination of free workshops and seminars has held TeraByte in good stead offering advice and assistance to businesses making the necessary choices for their own journey to compliance.
