Dear Sir,
I was out walking my dogs alongside the Burn last Saturday when my 5 year old Chihuahua fell off the steep embankment into the fast flowing water. My husband and I were in a state of shock as the Burn was high folowing the torrential rain over the previous days. A group of teenagers saw the problem and rallied round to help. Meanwhile the dog was in deep water fighting the strong current. After a few minutes the teenagers had surrounded both sides of the Burn moving in to fish the dog out of the water to safety. We are so grateful to these youngsters for saving the life of our dog. The outcome would have been dreadful without their help.
Michele Wilson and her pet “Frankie”.
