Special sports sessions for young people with a disability are being held at Spennymoor Leisure Centre this summer.

They are all about fun with a chance to learn new skills in everything from basketball and football to dodgeball and tennis.  The sessions are led by qualified coaches.

Suzanne Richardson, senior sport and physical activity development manager, Durham County Council, said: “The sportsability clubs are an opportunity for young people to try new sports that they may not have tried before. The main emphasis is on fun and enjoyment.

Spennymoor Leisure Centre: Saturday, 10 10, 17, 24, 31 August (10am – 11.30am).
