On Wednesday 19th June four Year 9 students from Woodham Academy took part in a mathematics challenge hosted by Queen Elizabeth 6th Form College.
They were competing against top mathematicians from nine schools across Durham and North Yorkshire. The challenge consisted of five rounds including problem solving, a treasure trail and musical maths. Throughout the competition the team from Woodham Academy were strong contenders, finally finishing second overall. Congratulations to the students involved in this excellent event.
