Before the end of term, students in Woodham Academy’s More Able Academy travelled to London to spend a few days exploring the city and absorbing the culture. The students, from a range of year groups, travelled by train, arriving with plenty of time to take in the tourist attractions. While in London they had a chance to see “Wicked” a west end musical. They went to various tourist sites across the city including the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, Changing of the Guard outside Buckingham Palace, Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament. During the three days, the group went to convent Garden, spending time browsing stalls and sampling the delights of the Southbank Food Festival. The students arrived back on Saturday, extremely tired but having enjoyed their time in London.
