Staff and students at Greenfield Community College were delighted to share in celebrating the success of members of the school choir who received their results and certificates from singing exams taken earlier this year. This is a great achievement for these dedicated students, who regularly give up their time after school to rehearse.
Samantha Ashcroft, a year 10 student, achieved Grade 8 with a strong performance with a powerful and well controlled voice. Also in Year 10, Holly Hardy and Cora Gibson both achieved Grade 5 with confidence, and Lucy Ryans in Year 9 showed strong technical ability when she gained her Grade 3.
Head teacher David Priestley said “Music is an integral part of the school curriculum at Greenfield and we are very proud that these young people have done so well in their exams.”
The school choir rehearses weekly, and has a number of events planned over the Christmas period – we look forward to seeing them perform!
