Following the sad news of Queen Elizabeth’s passing, as a school, we have decided to spend the day celebrating and commemorating her life. We will remember the happy times and the astounding things she achieved throughout her remarkable and inspiring life. We started the day with a whole school assembly watching footage from Sky News following the life of Elizabeth through the eyes of those who knew her.
As classes we have discussed her life before and during her time as our Queen and created bunting to represent all the incredible things she has done for not just our country but most of our world. This is going to be displayed in school and also at St. Clare’s Church. We have also spent time to compose our own thoughts and prayers to Queen Elizabeth and hope and well wishes to King Charles.
Our deepest condolences go to King Charles III and his family. Queen Elizabeth, you will always be remembered for the loyalty, kindness and selflessness you have given us in your seventy years of reign. Thank you. You will be profoundly missed by so many.
